Foodbank

11am-1pm Monday & Thursday

The Ulverston Foodbank is based at Bethany and is open for 2 hours on both Mondays and Thursdays. Everyone who comes to the foodbank for emergency food needs to have a valid foodbank voucher.

In order to provide the most appropriate help for the circumstances of your situation the foodbank works with local agencies. If they feel you are struggling to put food on the table, they will issue you with a foodbank voucher.

On a Monday or Thursday morning a referral can be obtained from Ulverston Town Council based next to the Coronation Hall. Tel: 01229 585778. The national Help through Hardship phone line is open Mon – Fri between 9am-5pm and they can also issue a voucher. Tel: 0808 208 2138 (this is a free call)

Once you have been issued with a voucher, you can exchange this for a minimum of three days of emergency food at your nearest foodbank centre, there are othere connected centres at Barrow and Millom.

The foodbank wants to make sure that no one in our local community has to go hungry, but we need your help to make this happen. Your gift of financial support, time, business partnership and food can make a real difference.

You can drop food off at Bethany during the Foodbank opening times 11-1pm on a Thursday.
